The visit reflected the growing operational relevance of NATO’s partnership network and the increasing importance of dialogue with Indo-Pacific partners.”

While the command retains a defined portfolio of partner nations, its contribution increasingly extends beyond that framework. Acting under SHAPE [Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe] delegation, JFC Brunssum has delivered training support outside its assigned regional portfolio, including through the deployment of expert teams to the Indo-Pacific and support to engagement with Japan, the Republic of Korea and New Zealand.”
