Punjab University has partnered with Pesticon Seeds (Pvt) Ltd. to commercialize PU-786, a hybrid rice variety developed with China. The variety offers triple the yield of traditional strains and shows resistance to diseases and heat, aiming to boost Pakistan’s rice production and exports.
