The new project, located in northern Laos’ Phongsaly Province, includes 28 buildings, comprising a large meeting hall, library, offices, dormitories, canteen, and other facilities, along with essential infrastructure for water, electricity, fire safety, and work equipment.
He reaffirmed that Laos will continue close collaboration with China, following the principles of ‘good neighbors, good friends, good partners, and good collaborators’.
Fang Hong, Chinese Ambassador to Laos, said the project is a gift to mark the 65th anniversary of China-Laos diplomatic relations and the 77th anniversary of LPA.
The handover is part of broader Laos-China military cooperation, including joint exercises, officer exchanges, border defense visits, and training programs aimed at enhancing Laos’ defense capacity and promoting regional peace and stability.
